Everyone wants to be a character on their favorite show, and for one day, we made our fans’ dreams come true. In celebration of the Game of Thrones Iron Anniversary, we sent out a tweet offering to digitally turn fans into Game of Thrones characters with a custom-illustrated avatar. The offer was open to anybody who wanted one – all they had to do was tweet us a selfie. (Not bad, considering most offers in Westeros end with a trip north of the Wall.)
THE TWEET
It’s the #IronAnniversary and I’m making @GameOfThrones avatars — who wants one? Reply with a selfie and I might make you a new Westeros-style avi.

THE AVATARS
The selfies streamed in, and our team of illustrators got to work creating over 90 custom avatars in real-time, gifting our fans with custom-drawn portraits of themselves as a Game of Thrones character that they could show off on the HBO Max app or their various social profiles.
